Happy to say I am finally working on my book. I need quiet time and the peace of mind of having taken care of essentials, before I feel I can enjoy the liberty of doing things I love. I suppose it comes from being responsible and my mom reminding me. :) But now I am so happy to do so!

This weekend I got to play music with old friends. That was incredible. I got to keep a 20-year-old promise and it was wonderful! At this age, if I play and sing live again, it will be in a rock band! That just feels right for the woman I am today.

I love music of so many genres and country has been one of my favorites since I was a little girl. The song 'I will always love you' has been sung by many singers eloquently with intensity and force like Whitney Houston did powerfully. I enjoyed her rendition. It moved me greatly.

But for me, I love Dolly Parton's version best. Perhaps it is because I relate to her high vocals and even the quiver in her voice, and the softness. She's vulnerable and I find that so brave! Sometimes with music even if the singer is singing about an experience you don't know, you can feel the emotion conveyed and you relate instantly. It is tremendous - that instant, heartfelt connection! I suppose because we human beings are emotional beings at heart first and foremost always.

Here's that song.
